Harmonium is one of the oldest and most frequently used instrument in India.Harmonium is a reed organ with bellow that are operated by hand.It can be played either solo or as accompaniment with Hindustani Classical , Light Music, Devotional and Folk music ,Ghazal performances and more.The role of the Harmonium is to provide a backup for the main melodic line, thus endowing it with a sort of strength and an added dimension.
Learning Harmonium covers both practical and theoretical aspects which involves fundamentals of Hindustani music and key concepts of Harmonium, understanding various keys ,scales, notes and rhythm, fingering techniques of improving and playing with ease, reading notation and playing a song using notation with rhythm.
Learning Keyboard follows the same method as Harmonium in Indian music, so lessons are equally suitable for both instruments.
